How does the appraisal process work?
1) A nonrefundable retainer is required to cover the initial inspection:
$300 per hour, plus travel and expenses.
$2,400 per per day, per appraiser, plus travel and expenses.
2) After the inspection we are able to estimate the total cost of the appraisal. Half of that total estimated fee is due before we begin the appraisal process.
3) Typically, appraisal reports are completed within eight to ten weeks from the date of property inspection. The Complete Summary Appraisal Report is delivered upon receipt of the final balance due.
4) Consultations, review of documentation, and collection walk-throughs are charged at the hourly rate.
All appraisal reports prepared by Escher-Associates are prepared in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Please refer to the Appraisal Foundation www.appraisalfoundation.org for information on Personal Property Standards 7 and 8.
In addition, all reports comply with Principals of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) www.appraisers.org.
In accordance with these standards, all our reports are confidential and no part of the report will be released to anyone without the client’s written permission.
